This role is ideal for a legal professional with at least one year of relevant experience who excels in persuasive writing and strategic advocacy. Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in contested estate, probate, and trust matters, including will contests, fiduciary disputes, and guardianship proceedings.
  • Draft and review legal documents, pleadings, and motions with precision and clarity.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and craft compelling arguments for court submissions.
  • Manage all phases of litigation, from initial case assessment to trial preparation and resolution.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution efforts when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, clients, and experts to develop case strategies tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Appear in court to present arguments, participate in hearings, and advocate for clients’ interests.
  • Stay informed on evolving laws and judicial rulings related to trusts and estates to provide up-to-date counsel.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of litigation experience, preferably in trust and estate disputes.
  • Exceptional writing and analytical skills with the ability to draft persuasive legal documents.
  • Strong research capabilities and attention to detail when interpreting statutes and case law.
  • Experience managing multiple cases simultaneously and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively to clients and colleagues.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility for admission).

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of New York.

  • Familiarity with estate planning principles, probate laws, and fiduciary responsibilities.
