A law firm is currently seeking an Attorney for their Springfield office, specializing in banking law. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing legal counsel and representation in banking law matters, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and assisting clients in various banking transactions. The role requires a strong understanding of banking laws financial regulations, and effective negotiation skills.

Duties:

• Advise clients on banking regulations, compliance issues, and financial transactions.
• Draft and review legal documents related to banking, including contracts, loan agreements, and regulatory filings.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and disputes related to banking matters.
• Stay updated on changes in banking laws, financial regulations, and industry best practices.
• Provide legal opinions on banking transactions and regulatory issues.
• Collaborate with financial institutions and regulatory authorities.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active State of Illinois and/or Missouri Law license, in good standing.
• 0-10 years of experience in banking law.
• Strong knowledge of banking laws and financial regulations.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
