Job Overview

A law firm seeks multiple associates to join the Business Litigation practice group in Philadelphia, PA. The associates will perform legal work under partner supervision, representing clients in shareholder disputes and securities class actions across the U.S.

Duties

• Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs for shareholder disputes and securities litigation.
• Conduct discovery, including managing large volumes of electronic documents.
• Ensure compliance with civil procedure and evidence rules.
• Attend client meetings, depositions, and trials, maintaining confidentiality and ethics.
• Produce accurate work under competing demands and deadlines.
• Collaborate with team members to meet client needs.
• Develop client relationships, provide counsel, and represent them in court.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues.

Requirements

• Knowledge of federal securities laws, corporate governance, and compliance.
• Experience with legal research tools like Westlaw and Lexis.
• Understanding of SEC rules and financial reporting requirements.
• Willingness to undergo a background check.
• Up to 10% domestic travel required.
• Telecommuting up to 40% allowed.

Education

• Juris Doctor (or foreign equivalent) in Law.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania or willing to obtain licensure.
