Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Syracuse, NY, is actively seeking an experienced litigator to join its tort and product liability defense practice. This role is ideal for a senior-level attorney with a strong foundation in medical malpractice, personal injury, and complex liability matters. The selected candidate will contribute to high-stakes litigation in both state and federal court systems and will engage in strategy development, client interactions, and active case management.

Duties:

• Represent clients in litigation involving torts, product liability, and personal injury claims

• Defend medical malpractice actions, particularly those involving long-term care facilities and nursing homes

• Conduct legal research, prepare and argue motions, and manage discovery

• Participate in depositions, pre-trial hearings, mediations, and trial proceedings

• Collaborate with clients to assess risk, develop legal strategies, and provide updates

• Supervise or mentor junior attorneys or support staff as appropriate

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years of litigation experience, preferably in torts or product liability

• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in New York State

• Demonstrated experience handling complex litigation in state and federal courts

• Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in New York State

Skills:

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
