This position involves representing clients in a range of insurance-related matters, including commercial general liability, pollution liability, marine, directors and officers, professional liability, and errors and omissions insurance. Duties

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to advance litigation cases.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and additional legal documents with meticulous attention.
• Represent clients during court appearances, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Manage and prioritize a diverse caseload to meet critical deadlines.
• Collaborate closely with partners on intricate litigation matters.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, judges, mediators, arbitrators, and other key stakeholders.
• Engage in strategy sessions and participate actively in case planning discussions.

Requirements

• Admission to the South Dakota State Bar.
• 5+ years of experience in insurance coverage litigation.
• Proven ability to work independently while delivering high-quality outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience in all phases of commercial litigation.

Education

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.

Certifications

• Active Bar membership in South Dakota.
