Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm based in Baltimore, MD, is actively seeking a seasoned Senior Transportation Litigation Attorney. This position focuses on representing a leading global logistics client, handling sophisticated transportation and logistics litigation matters. Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload of transportation-related litigation matters from inception through resolution.

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis concerning transportation laws and regulatory compliance.

• Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, memoranda, and other legal documentation.

• Represent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlement conferences.

• Negotiate settlements effectively while maintaining client advocacy and strategic positioning.

• Collaborate with attorneys across offices and practice groups to drive case strategy and client service.

• Prepare detailed case reports and recommendations for client stakeholders with a focus on proactive risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Maryland.

• A minimum of 8 years of litigation experience, with a focus on general casualty or transportation law.

• Demonstrated experience as first or second chair in trials.

• Prior experience managing transportation, trucking, logistics, or similar regulatory matters is preferred.

• Familiarity with legal challenges in the e-commerce and gig economy sectors is a plus.

• Strong experience with depositions, motion practice, and courtroom proceedings.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and advocacy skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active and good standing admission to the Maryland State Bar.

Skills:

• Exceptional legal research and writing abilities.

• Proficiency in developing and implementing litigation strategies.

• Strong oral advocacy and interpersonal communication skills.

• Ability to handle complex legal and regulatory issues with precision.

• Technological competence with litigation management systems and legal research tools.
