Job Title: Employment Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A highly respected law firm located in Sacramento, CA is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Associate Attorney. This role involves working closely with employers to defend and litigate various employment-related matters, providing expert legal advice, and handling litigation strategies in complex employment law cases. The ideal candidate will be someone with a passion for employment law and a dedication to supporting clients through proactive legal strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges.
• Provide counsel, advice, and training to employers on employment and labor law issues.
• Represent clients in court or arbitration, before administrative agencies, and at mediations involving employment matters.
• Handle complex cases, including class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour claims, contract disputes, and employment tort cases.
• Experience with Class Action/PAGA cases preferred, though not required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2+ years of legal experience, with a strong preference for a background in employment law.
• Solid understanding of federal and state employment laws and procedures.
• An active member in good standing of the California Bar.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school, with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

• California Bar license in good standing.
