Job Overview:
A respected civil litigation firm is seeking a motivated and experienced Associate Attorney to join its General Liability practice group in White Plains, NY. This position is ideal for a self-starter with a strong background in general liability or insurance defense who thrives in a collaborative and supportive legal environment. Location:

• White Plains, NY

Duties:

• Conduct legal analysis and evaluate claims and causes of action

• Draft and respond to discovery requests, pleadings, briefs, and motions

• Handle court appearances, arbitrations, depositions, and mediations

• Perform legal research and draft legal memoranda and appellate briefs

• Participate in trial preparation and attend trials as needed

• Coordinate with expert witnesses

• Maintain required annual billable hours (1,950)

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in general liability or insurance defense litigation

• Admitted to practice in New York (admission in Connecticut is a plus)

• Proven experience in litigation, including court appearances and depositions

• Strong case management, legal writing, and oral advocacy skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active New York Bar license required

• Connecticut Bar license preferred, but not required

Skills:

• Strong client communication and telephone skills
