Renewable Energy Real Estate Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Omaha, NE, seeks a qualified renewable energy real estate associate attorney to join its energy and natural resources strategic business unit. The successful candidate will collaborate primarily with attorneys in this unit, demonstrating at least 5 years of relevant experience. They must possess expertise in wind, solar, and/or battery storage real estate transactions and be adept at leading scopes of work within a team while overseeing junior attorneys. Superior interpersonal skills, outstanding academic credentials, and a commitment to the community are highly valued. The candidate must hold an active Bar license or be committed to obtaining one promptly.

Duties:

• Collaborate closely with attorneys in the energy and natural resources strategic business unit.
• Manage wind, solar, and/or battery storage real estate transactions.
• Lead and oversee scopes of work within a team, including managing junior attorneys.
• Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide legal advice and support.
• Participate in negotiations and due diligence processes for renewable energy projects.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, preferably in renewable energy real estate.
• Extensive experience with wind, solar, and/or battery storage real estate transactions.
• Exceptional academic credentials from a reputable law school.
• Active NE Bar license or commitment to obtaining one on time.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
• Demonstrated commitment to community involvement and sustainability initiatives.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active NE Bar license or commitment to obtaining one promptly.
