Job Overview:
A boutique law firm based in Dallas, TX, with a focus on immigration services, is seeking a dedicated and experienced attorney to lead its employment-based immigration practice. This role is ideal for a licensed legal professional with a passion for serving clients navigating complex U.S. immigration systems. The role offers leadership responsibility and a clear opportunity to impact a growing department across multiple office locations.

Duties:

  • Serve as the primary attorney for employment-based immigration matters, including both immigrant and nonimmigrant filings

  • Oversee the drafting and filing of petitions under visa categories such as H-1B, L-1, TN, O, E1/2, F, and B

  • Supervise the preparation and submission of PERM, I-140 petitions, and employment-based green cards

  • Draft legal briefs, response letters to RFEs and audits, motions to reopen, and appeal documentation

  • Collaborate with support staff, providing feedback on quality, legal strategy, and client communication

  • Participate in consultations, track lead conversions, and conduct follow-ups to improve service outcomes

  • Occasionally attend USCIS field office interviews with clients

  • Mentor and train staff in both Dallas and Houston offices, ensuring legal compliance and procedural accuracy

  • Stay current on immigration law updates and procedural developments

  • Contribute to departmental growth strategies and cross-office expansion efforts

Requirements:

  • Active U.S. Bar license (state of admission not restricted)

  • Prior experience handling employment-based immigration cases

  • Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration experience

  • Exceptional communication and legal writing skills

  • Ability to deliver client-centered services with empathy and attention to detail

  • Willingness to travel occasionally between office locations

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active and valid license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction

Skills:

  • Proficiency in employment-based immigration law (e.g., H-1B, L-1, PERM, I-140, etc.)

  • Strong organizational and legal drafting abilities

  • Effective mentorship and training capabilities

  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish preferred; other language proficiencies welcomed

  • Client consultation and intake management experience

  • Familiarity with fixed-fee legal service models
