Marketing and Business Development Coordinator
The candidate will work with assigned business development leads, supporting specific practice and industry groups, to implement marketing and business development initiatives that help create and raise awareness of the firm’s capabilities, and drive new business from existing clients and prospects. Support business development leads, Practice Group Leaders (PGLs), and Directors of Practice Management (DPMs) on practice group-level business development goals and initiatives, including contributing to practice group plans and assisting in their execution, managing business development budgets, and facilitating subgroups and industry groups. Develop an understanding of supported groups, including the products and services they offer to the firm's clients, to help attorneys relay experience to other clients and prospects. Track results and ROI on business development activities and initiatives. Work with business development leads to partner with individual attorneys on business development activities, including (but not limited to) identifying and following through on potential cross-selling opportunities and maximizing time at conferences and events. Collect content from attorneys and prepare Chambers USA, Global and / or High Net Worth submissions and other similar nominations; project manage the entire process, from initial meetings with practice group leaders through creation and submission of documents and through post-submission follow-up and data clean-up. Assist with writing and editing short alerts specific to attorneys presenting at events; post-conference emails; compilation / newsletter alerts; and new attorney announcements to be sent to select distribution lists. Support the Communications Senior Specialist in drafting social media posts around practice group and industry events and attorney thought leadership pieces. Make appropriate updates and posts to the firm’s blogs. Ensure that all marketing and business development content (including website content) reflects relevant / recent experience. Leverage attorney-developed content across all firm distribution channels, often working with the firm's graphic design, communications and public relations resources to execute on delivering similar information to different audiences. Work with the marketing technology team, maintain and update practice / industry group mailing lists and support new list creation as needed. Work with the firm’s enterprise relationship management (ERM) system, assist with business development research and reporting, particularly on attorney/contact relationships (“who knows whom” reports, prospect/client tracking). Assist in planning and distribution of e-Marketing campaigns. Help with scheduling meetings as needed (both virtual and in-person, arranging for lunch and AV support if needed). Collaborate with all Marketing & Business Development team members and perform other select duties as assigned. Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in a related field (Communications, Marketing, Business, etc.). Should have 1-2 years of experience, preferably at a law firm.
