Duties

• Manage all aspects of medical malpractice litigation, including case assessment, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Draft court pleadings, motions, and responses, and handle discovery requests.
• Collaborate with medical experts to develop case strategies and understand medical issues.
• Research and draft legal memoranda and briefs.
• Participate in pretrial and trial hearings, preparing attorneys and clients for trials and depositions.
• Assist in preparing appeal briefs and responses, and prepare for oral arguments.

Requirements

• Three or more years of litigation experience required; medical malpractice experience preferred.
• Ability to meet deadlines under time pressure and handle multiple tasks professionally.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time and resources effectively.

Education

• Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school with an outstanding academic record.

Certifications

• Admission to the Virginia Bar and in good standing.
• Must maintain licensure for law practice in Virginia.
