Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Capital Markets Associate Attorney to join their esteemed Capital Markets team in New York. The ideal candidate will possess at least 6 years of experience in financial services regulation, with a focus on mortgage and consumer credit regulation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team, collaborate with senior attorneys, and contribute to regulatory matters for a diverse portfolio of clients.

Duties:

• Manage a wide range of consumer and commercial credit regulatory issues.
• Research consumer and commercial credit regulations at both federal and state levels.
• Draft legal memoranda analyzing regulatory concerns related to consumer and commercial credit.
• Conduct due diligence for clients in the mortgage and consumer credit sectors.
• Collaborate with team members to manage regulatory licensing matters.
• Assist in various aspects of financial services regulation as needed.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 6 years of legal experience in regulatory work is preferred.
• Expertise in mortgage and consumer credit regulatory and licensing matters is preferred.
• Licensed to practice law in New York and/or Washington, DC, and in good standing.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and outstanding research, oral, and written communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in New York and/or Washington, DC.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of financial services regulation.
