Duties: Handling a caseload of 60+ cases within the first year in the dependency courtroom. Attending and participating in all MDT meetings for youth on the caseload. Picking up all new 300(b)(2) filings assigned to the dependency courtroom. Working closely with other members of the team which may include attorney and investigator supervisors, investigators, peer advocates, MSW interns and other yet to be identified staff. Providing 24/7 access to clients on the caseload on a rotation basis with other members of the Team. Working closely with the Managing Attorney to attend and participate in meetings which may include but are not limited to Steering Committee Meeting, Victim Witness Protocol Meeting, ICAN Meeting, and Monthly Check-in Conference Calls. Developing professional relationships with service providers in the community. Assisting the Policy Director, where needed on issues of legislation and policy as it relates to youth. Attendance at some Saturday Empowerment Events and attendance at the 3-day Annual Empowerment Conference. Provide training and consultation to case carrying attorneys, investigators, peer advocates and other staff as needed.
