A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Birmingham, AL. The ideal candidate must be licensed and in good standing in Alabama, with a minimum of two years of experience as a practicing attorney. Duties

• Review title examinations and identify issues within 24-48 hours.
• Execute recommendations to cure title issues promptly.
• Evaluate and rectify file-level issues in pleadings and loan documents.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in non-judicial foreclosure documents.
• Communicate effectively with insurers and external parties.
• Create and edit reports, opinions, and correspondence.
• Manage an independent caseload efficiently.
• Maintain strong relationships with insurers and vendors.
• Update case management systems accurately.

Requirements

• Licensed in Alabama; additional licenses in GA, TX, or MS preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience in real estate law and title review.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws.
• Familiarity with Alabama Title Standards preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor

Certifications

• Active Alabama Law License
• Membership in good standing with the Alabama State Bar

Skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and internet research.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage a portfolio of files and navigate jurisdictional requirements.
• Experience with case and document management software preferred.
