Associate Attorney needed for Clinton Township office

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with 5 years of experience, a Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-approved law school, and a current Michigan Bar admission in good standing. The ideal candidate will have previous general defense experience and the ability to manage cases from inception through trial.

Duties:

• Manage cases from inception through trial, including preparation of pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Manage the discovery process efficiently.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Conduct legal research, analysis, and writing.
• Provide high-quality legal services to clients.
• Take on new projects and learn new skills quickly.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-Approved law school.
• Current Michigan Bar admission in good standing.
• 5 years of experience.
• Previous general defense experience.
• Excellent analytical and creative thinking capabilities.
• Outstanding writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and electronic discovery platforms.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a timely and professional manner.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-Approved law school.

Certifications:

• Michigan Bar admission is in good standing.

Skills:
