A law firm seeks an experienced Estate Planning Attorney in Coral Gables, Florida. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sophisticated trusts and estate planning matters, working with high-net-worth clients to develop comprehensive solutions.

Duties

• Analyze complex trust and estate planning matters to develop effective client solutions.
• Coordinate with the Probate Department on advanced estate planning legal issues.
• Draft intricate estate and gift tax planning structures, including ILITs, SLATS, and charitable lead annuity trusts.
• Prepare and file tax forms such as Federal Form 706 and Form 709, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Provide expert advice on trust and estate planning documents, trustee responsibilities, and beneficiary rights.
• Administer individual and family trusts, overseeing investments and ensuring tax compliance.
• Prepare trust/fiduciary accountings and manage financial statements for Attorney-Trustees.
• Lead the team in the Foundational Estate Planning Department.

Requirements

• Membership with The Florida Bar is required.
• Demonstrated experience in Estate Planning, Asset Protection, and Trust Administration.
• Ability to quickly grasp new legal concepts in a constantly evolving field.
• Proficiency in drafting software like WealthDocs and client management software such as Clio.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is necessary.
• This is an in-office position located in Coral Gables, Florida.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership with The Florida Bar.
