A law firm seeks an experienced Senior Probate, Litigation Attorney & Estate Planning professional for a fully remote position based in Coral Gables, FL. This role is ideal for an attorney skilled in resolving complex probate disputes, guardianship procedures, and strategic estate planning. The position involves trials, hearings, discovery, and mediation, requiring a client-focused, analytical, and organized individual.

Duties

  • Manage probate and estate administration cases from start to finish.
  • Handle probate and trust litigation, including contested estates and fiduciary disputes.
  • Lead estate planning matters, including trusts, wills, and advanced strategies.
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence.
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Analyze complex client situations and develop strategic legal solutions.
  • Guide clients through trust funding and asset alignment with estate plans.
  • Maintain and organize client files while ensuring compliance with deadlines.
  • Conduct client consultations to evaluate needs and firm assistance.
  • Enter time and billing records accurately and timely.
  • Delegate and supervise work assigned to paralegals and legal staff.
  • Monitor case progress and ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Team to improve firm systems and workflows.
  • Participate in business development and community engagement activities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in probate, estate planning, and probate litigation.
  • An active Florida Bar license is required.
  • Experience as first chair in at least one jury trial or evidentiary hearing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in court hearings and litigation procedures.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable with legal technology and case management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active Florida Bar license.
