Duties

• Represent clients in federal and state tax controversy matters.
• Independently manage a broad range of tax-related issues.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, taxing authorities, and legal teams.
• Handle IRS and state audits, examinations, and administrative appeals.
• Manage collections matters, penalty abatements, and installment agreements.
• Draft protests, responses to Information Document Requests, and legal submissions.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in tax controversy matters.
• Experience with IRS and state audits and tax litigation preferred.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively.

Education

• J.D. required.
• LL.M. in Taxation preferred but not required.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice.
