A law firm seeks a full-time attorney to join its team in Texas, supporting litigation, general counsel services, and corporate & securities. The role involves addressing high-stakes challenges for companies, combining litigation, distressed dealmaking, and operational triage to preserve enterprise value. The position offers opportunities for advancement, client interaction, and exposure to diverse legal matters.

Duties

• Handle commercial litigation and debtor/creditor disputes.
• Manage investor litigation and business divorce cases.
• Conduct real estate litigation and emergency relief actions.
• Oversee financial restructuring and distressed M&A transactions.
• Engage in corporate finance involving covenant stress or defaults.
• Facilitate investor buyouts, founder buybacks, and recapitalizations.
• Manage real estate finance workouts and commercial finance exposures.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in Texas.
• 7+ years of substantive experience with leadership in client matters.
• Strong writing, research, and case management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Preference for candidates based in the Austin, TX area.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (Texas required).
