Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly qualified mid-level associate to join their Intellectual Property Transactions & Strategies group in Redwood City, CA. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in technology and intellectual property licensing, as well as IP support in M&A and other corporate transactions.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate joint development, collaboration, and strategic alliance agreements.
• Handle technology and intellectual property licenses and services agreements, including SaaS agreements.
• Manage distribution agreements, including OEM, VAR, and other reseller agreements.
• Conduct intellectual property and technology due diligence in M&A transactions.

Requirements

• Outstanding academic credentials.
• Comparable law firm experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Relevant bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

• Experience with open source software license terms.
• Understanding of intellectual property issues in artificial intelligence technology.
