Junior Intellectual Property Trademark Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Mountain View, CA, is seeking a Junior Intellectual Property Trademark Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will possess superior analytical skills, strong academic credentials, and excellent oral, writing, and interpersonal skills. The candidate must be an active Bar member in the jurisdiction.

Duties:

• Conduct trademark clearance searches and provide comprehensive analysis on availability and registrability.
• Draft and prosecute trademark applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and foreign trademark offices.
• Manage domestic and international trademark portfolios and coordinate with international associates on global trademark issues.
• Prepare and respond to office actions and other correspondences with the USPTO.
• Handle trademark opposition, cancellation, and other administrative proceedings.
• Conduct trademark due diligence in connection with corporate transactions.
• Provide strategic advice to clients on trademark protection and enforcement strategies.
• Draft and negotiate trademark-related agreements, including coexistence agreements, licensing agreements, and settlement agreements.
• Stay current on trademark law developments and provide updates to clients and colleagues.
• Assist with enforcement of clients’ trademark rights, including drafting cease and desist letters.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Bar membership in the jurisdiction (California).
• 1-3 years of experience in trademark law.
• Superior analytical skills.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Active Bar membership in the jurisdiction (California).
