Job Overview:
A reputable regional litigation defense firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its expanding practice in Fort Worth, Texas. The firm is looking for a motivated individual with civil litigation experience who is eager to take on challenging cases while benefiting from strong mentorship. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice, preparing legal documents, and representing clients in court proceedings, including trial. Location:

  • Fort Worth, Texas

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients in various civil litigation matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Represent clients in court hearings and proceedings, including trial.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategy and preparation.
  • Manage cases from inception through resolution.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide client updates.
  • Maintain a strong caseload while adhering to deadlines and client expectations.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in defense work.
  • Strong background in legal research and writing.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active and good standing membership with the Texas State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Litigation experience, including trial preparation and court appearances.
  • Effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
