A law firm seeks a Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join its litigation team in Encinitas, California. This remote position requires occasional in-person meetings. The role involves managing a variety of litigation matters, including wrongful death, catastrophic injury, construction, breach of contract, and tort claims, from inception to resolution.

Duties

• Manage litigation cases, including legal strategy and research.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and manage discovery.
• Argue motions in court and attend mediations.
• Collaborate with team members and mentor under experienced partners.

Requirements

• 3+ years of civil litigation experience, including defending tort claims.
• Experience in preparing pleadings, discovery, and legal briefs.
• Proficiency in arguing motions and attending mediations preferred.
• Trial experience is a plus.
• Exceptional communication and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and collaboratively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Current admission to the California State Bar.
