A law firm seeks a midlevel employment litigation associate for a hybrid position in Portland, Oregon. The ideal candidate will have two to five years of experience in employment law and litigation, representing both public and private management/employers in state and federal courts, as well as agency proceedings.

Duties

• Develop and execute litigation strategies in employment law cases.
• Engage in motion practice and manage discovery processes.
• Draft policies, handbooks, and employment-related agreements.
• Advise employers on wage/hour issues, leave law compliance, and disability accommodation.
• Address discrimination and retaliation issues.

Requirements

• Two to five years of experience in employment litigation.
• Strong trial skills and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Oregon license to practice law required; Washington or California license beneficial.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Oregon; additional licenses in Washington or California preferred.
