Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Bankruptcy Associate to join their expanding team in Irvine, CA. The successful candidate will have experience in commercial litigation, including creditors' rights and remedies, receiverships, bankruptcy, and commercial landlord/tenant matters.

Duties

• Represent institutional lenders, creditors, and court-appointed receivers in state and federal litigation, bankruptcy proceedings, and commercial disputes.
• Develop strategies to protect creditor interests, maximize recoveries, and mitigate regulatory and compliance risks.
• Support receivers with asset recovery, management, liquidation, and stakeholder distributions.
• Collaborate with internal teams across real estate, finance, securities, environmental, and labor.
• Coordinate with external professionals such as regulators, forensic accountants, property managers, and brokers.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in relevant practice areas.
• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Admission to the State Bar of California.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the State Bar of California.

Skills

• Experience in commercial litigation and bankruptcy proceedings.
• Ability to develop strategies for creditor protection and recovery.
