Mid to Senior-Level Energy And Infrastructure Projects Associate Attorney
A prominent law firm based in Houston, TX is actively looking to expand its Energy Transactions & Infrastructure Projects team with the addition of a mid to senior-level associate. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in transactional law, particularly those with experience in complex project financing and mergers & acquisitions within the energy and infrastructure sectors. Oversee and manage legal aspects of high-value energy and infrastructure project transactions
Lead and support negotiations related to financing arrangements and acquisition/disposition agreements
Draft and review key transaction documents including purchase agreements, credit agreements, and ancillary documentation
Collaborate across legal and business teams to ensure efficient deal execution
Provide strategic advice on legal and commercial risk for complex transactions
Stay current with relevant laws and regulatory developments in the energy and infrastructure sectors
Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and participate in client development initiatives
Maintain high standards of professional and client service
4-6 years of experience in a major transactional practice, with a focus on project finance or M&A
Demonstrated ability to lead deal processes with limited supervision
Solid understanding of legal issues specific to energy, infrastructure, or related industries
Strong business judgment and analytical skills
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication abilities
Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality legal services
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Must be in good standing with the relevant State Bar; Texas Bar admission preferred or willingness to obtain
Expertise in structuring and executing complex transactional matters
Familiarity with project development frameworks, financing structures, and deal lifecycle management
Ability to navigate client priorities while maintaining legal integrity
Strong organizational, leadership, and client service capabilities
Proficient in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite

A hybrid work schedule is available, with in-office presence encouraged Monday through Thursday
