Duties

• Manage and assist in defense litigation cases from inception through resolution.
• Draft and review legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, and trials as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Maintain an organized case docket and meet critical deadlines.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to develop case strategies.
• Travel for client meetings, depositions, and court appearances as required.

Requirements

• 1-5 years of experience in litigation, preferably with a focus on defense matters.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in managing cases.
• A self-starter attitude with a strong sense of motivation and confidence.
• Ability to travel for work-related tasks, including client meetings and court appearances.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active member in good standing with the Tennessee State Bar (or eligibility to be admitted).
