Supply Management Specialist, GS 5 - 15

Qualifications:

For GS-05: The candidate must demonstrate 3+ years of general experience that includes 1 year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing technical advice, guidance, and assistance on supply operations to agency personnel.

For GS-07: The candidate must demonstrate 1+ year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector initiating, developing, installing, or administering a supply program.

For GS-09: The candidate must demonstrate 1+ year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing design specifications, reviewing data processing systems that support supply programs, and documenting additions, changes, or deletions.

For GS-11: The candidate must have 1+ year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector conducting surveys and studies of supply operations to determine proper application of improved supply methods or approved industry techniques.

For GS-12: The candidate must demonstrate 1+ year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector monitoring and making recommendations to modify inventory control systems for subordinate and regional level programs.

For GS-13: The candidate must demonstrate 1+ year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating with customers and overseeing the implementation of actions involving requirements determination, acquisition of supplies and materials, managing property accountability systems, and assuring that property is in place where and when needed.

For GS-14: The candidate must demonstrate 1+ year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing, installing, or advising on financial or other management control programs for supply operations for such purposes as controlling operations, determining supply costs, planning and budgeting, and evaluating supply management performance.

For GS-15: The candidate must demonstrate 1+ year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector for evaluating storage and distribution systems for potential introduction of automated controls and systems of data flow and reports.

Education:

For GS-05: Must have successfully completed a four year course of study leading to a Bachelor's degree.

For GS-07: Must demonstrate successful completion of one full year of graduate level education OR completed a Bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement.

For GS-09: Should have successfully completed a Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR have completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a Master's degree OR have obtained an LL.B. or J.D. degree that is related to the position being filled.

For GS-11: Must have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree OR have successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
