A law firm in Providence, RI, seeks a qualified Renewable Energy Real Estate Associate Attorney to join their energy and natural resources strategic business unit. The role involves working primarily with attorneys in this unit, requiring at least 5 years of experience, focusing on wind, solar, and/or battery storage real estate transactions. The ideal candidate should be comfortable leading scopes of work within a team and managing junior attorneys. The candidate must possess an active Bar license or be committed to obtaining one promptly.

Duties:

• Collaborate primarily with attorneys in the energy and natural resources strategic business unit.
• Handle wind, solar, and/or battery storage real estate transactions.
• Lead scopes of work within a team and oversee junior attorneys.
• Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide legal advice.
• Participate in negotiations and due diligence processes.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, preferably in renewable energy real estate.
• Experience with wind, solar, and/or battery storage real estate transactions.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Active RI Bar license or commitment to obtaining one promptly.
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to community engagement and environmental sustainability.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active RI Bar license or commitment to obtaining one promptly.
