Duties

• Represent financial institutions and corporate clients in litigation and regulatory defense matters.
• Develop case strategies to effectively defend clients in complex litigation.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Advise clients on risk management, regulatory compliance, and potential litigation exposure.
• Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolutions when appropriate.
• Stay current on state and federal regulations affecting financial services litigation.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys and litigation staff.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including experts and consultants.

Requirements

• 20 years of litigation experience with a focus on financial services defense.
• Proven track record of handling complex, high-value defense litigation.
• Extensive trial experience with strong courtroom advocacy skills.
• Deep understanding of state and federal financial regulations.
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple complex cases and meet critical deadlines.
• Exceptional client relationship management skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in New Jersey, in good standing.
