A law firm in New York City is seeking an Employment Associate Attorney. The attorney will be responsible for providing legal counsel and representation to clients in various employment matters, including advice and litigation. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, excellent writing abilities, and a solid academic background. Bar admission is required, and traditional labor experience is considered a plus.

Duties:

• Provide legal advice and representation to clients on a wide range of employment law matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client counseling.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex cases and projects.
• Stay updated on changes in employment laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Bar admission in NY.
• 2-4 years of experience in employment law advice and litigation.
• Experience in wage & hour, single-plaintiff discrimination, and non-compete/trade secret matters.
• Strong academic background with demonstrated excellence in legal research and writing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Bar admission in NY.

Skills:
