Job Overview

A law firm seeks a junior-level International Trade Associate to join its Governmental Practice Group in Washington, D.C. The successful candidate will support a comprehensive international trade practice, addressing complex sanctions, export, import, anti-bribery, and foreign investment issues.

Duties

• Assist with civil and munitions export controls.
• Engage in cross-border transactions and CFIUS matters.
• Advise on economic sanctions and embargoes.
• Handle customs law and international trade agreements.
• Work on antidumping and countervailing duties cases.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of international trade law experience.
• Experience with a large law firm or relevant government agency preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Research and analytical skills.
• Admitted to and a member in good standing of the DC bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• DC bar membership.
