Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have two to five years of substantive litigation experience, focusing on discrimination and wage-and-hour cases. This role involves working closely with employment litigation attorneys in a primarily in-office setting.

Duties

• Handle discrimination and wage-and-hour cases before administrative agencies and courts.
• Engage in all phases of litigation, including fact-finding, discovery, and trial.
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and position statements.
• Provide advice and counsel to business clients.
• Participate in traditional labor negotiations and employee benefits as needed.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice in New York State and Federal courts.
• Two to five years of substantive litigation experience.
• Interest in labor and employment law preferred.
• Experience with wage-and-hour class or collective action cases is a plus.
• Admission to practice in other jurisdictions is advantageous.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Valid Bar license.
