The candidate responsibilities include: Assisting with Federal & State filings. Discovery - meeting with clients and drafting responses. Calendaring of litigation deadlines and compliance. Pleadings - preparing motions, oppositions. Trial Preparation. Assisting the attorneys with various tasks/assignments. Familiarity with California & Federal Procedures is required. Preferably a background in Employment, Civil Rights, and/or Personal Injury Law. Must be knowledgeable with the following software programs: Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Work/Word Perfect, and Microsoft Outlook. 1 year experience as a legal assistant preferred.
