Duties

• Manage a diverse caseload in primary practice areas
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials and mediations
• Strategize, negotiate, and advocate for client outcomes
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlements
• Maintain clear communication with clients
• Collaborate with attorneys, intake, and paralegal staff
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to firm initiatives
• Participate in business development or community engagement

Requirements

• Licensed to practice in Maine (or sitting for the next bar exam)
• 3 years of litigation experience preferred
• Strong courtroom presence and legal writing skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Familiarity with civil procedure, criminal rules, and/or family law standards in Maine

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree
