Entry-Level Bankruptcy Attorney
Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Dallas, TX, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented attorney to join its dynamic bankruptcy practice. Duties:
Collaborate with attorneys and operational teams to understand procedural requirements across jurisdictions
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, local rules, and internal protocols related to bankruptcy filings
Review critical documentation, including proofs of claim, payment change notices, and cost notifications
Prepare motions, objections, pleadings, letters, and related legal documentation
Represent clients in court hearings, settlement conferences, and other legal proceedings
Maintain client relationships through timely updates and professional communication
Respond promptly to court personnel, opposing counsel, trustees, and other stakeholders
Escalate issues as appropriate and participate in firm-wide process improvement initiatives
Contribute to other legal responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
Strong written and verbal communication skills across varied audiences
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment
Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities
Capacity to work well both independently and in collaborative settings
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Proactive attitude and willingness to learn new areas of practice
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited institution
Certifications:
Active Bar membership in good standing (any U.S. jurisdiction)
Skills:
Prior experience in the mortgage servicing or bankruptcy field is advantageous
Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Exposure to high-volume legal practice or production-based environments is a plus
