Duties

  • Review consultation notes and confirm case legal strategy.

  • Prepare legal documents, including briefs, motions, pleadings, and appeals.
  • Stay updated on immigration laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Meet with clients to address questions and concerns.
  • Analyze information for emergency motions.
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
  • 2-3 years of immigration law experience preferred.
  • Experience with family-based petitions, removal defense, asylum, and/or naturalization cases.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, particularly immigrants.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration laws and court procedures.
  • Proficient in legal research and writing.
  • Effective oral advocacy skills.
  • Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with immigration case management software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Willingness to travel for court hearings and interviews.
  • Commitment to client-centered advocacy and professional excellence.

Education
