A law firm seeks a Remote Associate Attorney in the DFW & Surrounding Area, Texas. The role involves working closely with a supervising attorney and administrative staff to provide high-quality legal services in Construction Law. The attorney will manage client communications, develop legal strategies, and assist in case management, including preparing legal documents and attending hearings.

Duties

• Maintain 35 billable hours per week.
• Research legal issues and draft pleadings and motions.
• Ensure compliance with statutory deadlines.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and arbitrations as needed.
• Assist with tasks assigned by the supervising attorney.
• Maintain client communications and relationships.
• Prepare for and participate in strategy meetings.
• Evaluate cases to align with client goals.
• Stay informed on legal developments and complete continuing education.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficient in research, analysis, and critical thinking.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively.
• Function well in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Education

• Bachelor's degree.
• Juris Doctor or equivalent from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law and/or membership in the State Bar of Texas.

Skills

• 4 - 7 years of experience.
• Remote work experience is a plus.
