Job Title: Employment Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Sacramento, CA is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defending and litigating lawsuits involving a broad spectrum of employment-related claims and agency charges. Additionally, they will provide counsel, advice, and training to employers on various employment and labor law matters.

Duties:

• Defend and litigate lawsuits encompassing a wide array of employment-related claims and agency charges.
• Advise, counsel, and train employers on various employment and labor law issues.
• Preference for experience in Class Action/PAGA cases.
• Represent employers in court, arbitration, administrative agencies, and mediation in employment matters, including class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete cases.

Requirements:

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with outstanding academic credentials.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience, with a background in employment law strongly preferred.
• Current admission to the California Bar in good standing.
• Understanding of current agency (state and federal) procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
• Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Current admission to the California Bar.
