Political Compliance Assistant
The candidate will be assisting with the preparation of campaign finance reports. Preparing financial reports. Processing outgoing checks and wires. Entering expenditures into accounting and reporting databases. Assisting with bank account reconciliations. Reviewing and processing contributions. General administrative and other office tasks as needed. A keen attention to detail is needed. Strong organizational, communication, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills are needed. Works well in a team environment and believes in doing things the right way. Knowledge and understanding of basic accounting principles are required. Experience with donor database management, including QuickBooks and Excel is needed. Knowledge of political campaigns, fundraising, and campaign compliance databases is preferred. Personal interest in political or civic engagement is a plus.
