A prominent law firm in New York City is seeking a mid-level associate to join its sophisticated Banking and Finance practice group. The position offers exposure to a wide array of domestic and international financing transactions, including private credit matters, syndicated loans, and growth capital deals. Duties:

• Represent lenders, borrowers, and financial sponsors in diverse financing transactions

• Draft, negotiate, and review loan agreements and related documentation

• Collaborate with internal and external teams to manage multi-jurisdictional matters

• Conduct due diligence and manage closing procedures

• Guide structuring and the regulatory implications of finance deals

• Engage with clients directly to understand business goals and deliver tailored legal solutions

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal developments in the finance sector

Requirements:

• 2 to 6 years of experience handling banking and finance matters at a law firm

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex transactional work with attention to detail

• Strong interpersonal skills and a client-first mindset

• Admitted to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in a U.S. state; ability to meet New York Bar requirements if needed

Skills:

• Expertise in private credit and/or syndicated lending structures

• Strong drafting and analytical abilities

• Capacity to operate in fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders

• Collaborative mindset with leadership potential

• Proficiency in managing large-scale deal processes
