Corporate Attorney - Litigation, Labor & Employment Attorney

The candidate will advise HR and management on day-to-day employment law and labor relations issues including hiring; employee relations; discipline and terminations; recruiting; compliance with employment laws; EEO complaints; and benefits. Advise the businesses on key areas of compliance. Oversee and manage outside counsel on all litigation, compliance/claims and disputes. Provide leadership, guidance and support on compliance and ethics issues, including policy interpretation and compliance risk assessment. Develop and deliver training to supervisors and managers on a variety of legal topics, including employment and compliance matters. Clear, succinct verbal and written communication skills are required. Able to work effectively with all levels of management, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with consistently high-quality work product. Other tasks as may be assigned by the General Counsel. Ability to coordinate complex projects with all phases of company management and personnel. Ability to build and cultivate relationships with internal and external customers. Strong negotiation skills, complemented with excellent business judgment and strategic thought. Proven oral and written skills. Excellent communication skills, professional presence, and an ability to influence in a collaborative environment. Effective in managing competing priorities and internal client needs. Excellent facilitation and presentation skills. Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Ability to exercise considerable judgement, maintain confidentiality, and act in a diplomatic manner. Ability to work independently and in a team. High ethical standards. J.D. from an ABA accredited law school and membership in good standing in at least one State bar. Minimum of 5 years of legal practice focused on labor and employment issues. Experience at a top tier law firm with some in-house preferred. Experience working with employees from diverse backgrounds.
