Immigration Attorney
Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking a driven and compassionate Immigration Attorney to handle a broad spectrum of immigration matters. This role involves client advocacy, case management, and in-depth representation in immigration proceedings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep legal insight, courtroom competence, and a commitment to helping individuals navigate complex immigration challenges.
Duties:
Manage a diverse caseload with multiple active matters simultaneously
Draft and review legal submissions, including motions, briefs, and petitions
Prepare immigration applications such as VAWA, T-Visas, U-Visas, I-130s, I-485s, and others
Represent clients before USCIS, EOIR, and related administrative agencies
Participate in asylum, family-based immigration, consular processing, and removal defense cases
Attend client interviews, court appearances, and administrative hearings
Maintain consistent communication with clients and keep them informed on case progress
Advise clients on complex legal issues and offer clear strategic guidance
Protect client confidentiality by ethical and legal standards
Requirements:
Admission to the Florida Bar
At least 3 years of direct experience handling immigration law matters
Demonstrated success advocating before USCIS and/or in immigration court
Proficiency in preparing complex filings and navigating changing regulatory frameworks
Strong interpersonal and client-relations skills
Ability to handle fast-paced, high-volume legal environments
Clear, effective written and verbal communication
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in Florida (Required)
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of U.S. immigration statutes and case law

Job Location:
