Location:

• Alexandria, Virginia

Duties:

• Manage and litigate a portfolio of workers' compensation defense cases

• Develop case-specific strategies, budgets, and recommendations

• Attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials as necessary

• Draft and review discovery responses, pleadings, and litigation reports

• Negotiate settlements and prepare clients for trial proceedings

• Supervise and collaborate with paralegals and legal assistants

• Maintain ongoing communication with clients and internal teams

• Engage in business development activities to grow client base

Requirements:

• 5–7 years of workers' compensation defense experience

• Established portable book of business preferred

• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload

• Proficiency with case management systems and Microsoft Office

• Strong ability to handle multiple matters efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Virginia and Washington, D.C. (required)

• Maryland Bar admission preferred
