Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
Conduct intakes with detained and non-detained individuals, including detention center visits
Develop individualized legal strategies and prepare clients for court and USCIS testimony
Draft and file immigration applications, motions, legal briefs, and supporting documentation
Handle a caseload involving removal defense, family-based petitions, and humanitarian relief
Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutors, and community organizations to support client cases
Meet with prospective clients for consultations and determine legal eligibility for relief
Review case files and make necessary updates or adjustments to filings
Stay current on developments in immigration law, particularly in removal defense and appellate matters
1–5 years of experience practicing immigration law, with an emphasis on EOIR proceedings
Proven experience handling detained and non-detained immigration cases
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently
Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills
Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required)
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
Active bar admission in any U.S. state or territory (Illinois preferred)
Strong oral and written advocacy skills
Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to clients
Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
Familiarity with USCIS applications, EOIR procedures, and case strategy
Proficiency with immigration case management software (preferred)
