Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in family law cases, including divorce, custody disputes, support matters, and equitable distribution, focusing on achieving optimal outcomes.
• Conduct legal research, and draft pleadings, motions, agreements, and other case-related documents with precision and attention to detail.
• Advocate effectively in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations, showcasing strong litigation skills and strategic thinking.
• Maintain direct and meaningful communication with clients, providing guidance, updates, and a clear understanding of case developments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to analyze case strategies, address complex legal issues, and develop comprehensive solutions.
• Ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements, managing a robust caseload with professionalism and efficiency.
• Stay current with changes in family law statutes, court rules, and relevant case law to provide informed legal counsel.

Qualifications:

• Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of experience practicing family law, with a proven litigation and case management track record.
• Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• License: Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing.
• Drafting and Writing Proficiency: Exceptional legal writing, research, and drafting skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and persuasively.
