The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in patent law with a specialization in biotechnological fields such as immunology, microbiology, molecular biology, or biochemistry. The firm is looking for an attorney to provide high-quality support to the firm’s clients in this growing sector.

Duties:

• Draft, prosecute, and manage patent applications related to biotechnology innovations.
• Advise clients on patentability, IP strategy, and related legal matters in the biotech industry.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide legal guidance on patent portfolio management.
• Represent clients before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Conduct legal research and analysis on patent laws, regulations, and industry trends.
• Assist in patent litigation and other intellectual property-related disputes, as needed.

Requirements:

• Active registration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Minimum of 2 years of laboratory research experience in a biotech-related field.
• A strong understanding of biotech subjects such as immunology, microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or similar fields.
• Experience with antibody-related work is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to draft and prosecute patent applications in the biotech sector.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

• Bachelor's, Master’s, or Doctorate in a relevant field (e.g., immunology, microbiology, molecular biology, or biochemistry).
• Antibody experience is a plus.

Certifications:

• USPTO Registration is required.
