Job Overview

A distinguished law firm in San Francisco is seeking a Mid-Level Venture & Growth Associate Attorney to join its finance department. This role focuses on lender-side representation for commercial finance matters, with an emphasis on serving banks and private credit funds in transactions involving technology, life sciences, and middle-market companies.

Duties

• Represent financial institutions and private credit funds in lending transactions.

• Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements and other financial documents.

• Provide legal counsel on structuring and documenting complex financing transactions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including partners, associates, and clients.

• Conduct legal research to ensure compliance with relevant financial and banking regulations.

• Manage deal processes from inception to closing.

• Address and resolve issues related to financial transactions.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in lender-side representation for commercial finance matters.

• Prior experience working with banks and private credit funds.

• Strong analytical and writing skills.

• Exceptional business judgment and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Must be admitted to practice law in California.
