Duties

• Represent individuals, business entities, and major credit grantors in complex commercial litigation matters.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeals in state and federal courts.
• Provide strategic pre-litigation counseling and risk assessment to minimize exposure and resolve disputes efficiently.
• Draft, review, and negotiate litigation-related documents, including demand letters, settlement agreements, and consent judgments.

Requirements

• Command of litigation with a proven track record of managing matters independently from complaint through resolution.
• Comfortable in the courtroom, at the podium, in depositions, and across the negotiating table.
• Understanding of the interplay between clients, opposing counsel, and the courts with demonstrated strategic thinking across all forums.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Active bar license in Illinois (Wisconsin or multi-state a plus).

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar license in Illinois.
